she's a good fighter as well.

the fact she's all flirty with a prince but shows glimpses of sadness because she knows he gotta marry luna is relatable; iris is just a young dreamy girl, and i think they portrayed her well (in terms of mannerisms she's better than say selphie or vanille, which were borderline annoying, the voice acting of the latter irritating).

No. Not really. I'd prefer added scenes of her autonomy following Lucis' fall, where she was arranging things for Noctis.

Totally crazy idea for a potential Ardyn expansion - set it 2000+ years before XV's events and have it focus on Ardyn as a healer. It could be a good way of explaining the background lore surrounding the Astrals and the Crystal. Plus we'd see Ardyn's slow fall from grace, which is always a great thing to see happening in stories. It would also allow SQEX to create a new environment for, say, the territories of Solheim where Niflheim was founded. Maybe set the majority of the expansion in that area and show Ardyn destroying a concentration of Daemons.

absolutely, because it would show more about the hardships she had to endure in her life which would make her more relatable, and it would show more about how evil the empire really is (abusing a child and oracle is vile).

it was a great scene that got deleted because ppl were complaining about how weak she was portrayed while the point was exactly that, her strenght was in her faith in adversities; using an analogy, it's like calling jesus weak because he was tortured ignoring the fact that he executed his mission.

many think strength is being independent and be able to fight, i think it's more than that; strength of WILL for once.

For the record i totally agree with the rest of your post, but we still don't have 100% concrete proof of reason for that scene's absense from the main game (outside of the 4chan rumor, which i personally wouldn't use as reference, given the holes & contradictions that already exist within that one).

I still hope they'll bring back the Regis & Noctis scene for story updates (screw the "downgrade" whiners).

The thing about that particular scene is that it's unclear what the context of it actually is. It was included in the Dawn trailers as a "15 years ago" scene but that doesn't align with the timeline as it now exists, where Fenestala Manor is independent until the end of Noctis' visit. As such, it could have been anything from just an impactful way to show that the Empire is evil (which isn't a great reason to use such imagery) to a response to a particular act of resistance on Luna's part (which could legitimately show her strength). And without knowing that, there's no way to say whether it was a "great scene" or not.

Luna is definitely portrayed as having the strength of a martyr in the game itself, but not all instances of victimization imply that sort of strength. And if that scene, when taken in its proper context, didn't, its removal could have been the superior option.

Don't know which ones you mean exactly, but the leaker stated themself several times in all 3 threads that their knowledge about Versus only comes from old concept-art/design documents they referenced for new assets, or as information from other SE employees, so no guarantees about finer details. Doesn't mean the general plot outline couldn't be correct (two enough? ).

Cut it out with that "probably shouldn't be saying any more" nonsense. If you want to offer yourself as independent corroboration and provide a position from which you can plausibly do so, do it. If not, then stop throwing out meaningless hints while pretending to be bound by NDAs. -_-

Anyway, regardless of whether or not the "leaker" has a leg to stand on with regards to the parts of the game he claimed to be involved with, I'm not sure "material used or details dropped in casual conversation," in the absence of an actual understanding of the underlying material, could ever provide a meaningful outline. Someone who didn't care about the Versus project enough to at least look into the basic terminology would have no reason to remember specifics from casual conversations -- there's no reason why, for instance, "ghost" couldn't have been a corruption of "shigai," which would change the implications of pretty much everything the guy said about Versus.

And someone who was honest would recognize that and stop presenting potentially-worthless information as revelations from an inside source. That he didn't highly suggests that he was interested in nothing more than the attention.

I wonder... will we have to pay a monthly fee to play the multiplayer service on top of what we've paid for the season pass?

It sounds like a really big thing, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're gonna get people to pay a monthly fee to offset the ongoing cost for this project. Don't think people would be happy if they do though.

Didn't say I'm under an NDA. That's not the only reason one wouldn't want to say too much.

Let me try this again, since you've greatly misunderstood the point here. Its not sharing info thats the issue here, its the content of the rumor itself that is given credit by others despite being a questionable source overall, which is one big peeve of mine (and i was one of the members on this site who practically believed the leaker's claims around it's inception at the time).

The purpose of my posts was to illustrate my disagreement on the rumor having any whiff of validity.

I apologize if they came off harsh, as it wasn't an intent of mine to drive off the members that meant well. Just wanted to settle something.

About updates, currently the Timed Quest are disabled for unexplain reasons, Square should bring them back if they want to hold fans attention in between the episode releases.
