I know, I prefer it if the summons weren't so important imo rather have a more down to earth story. Also I know the problems with current XV has to do with development troubles. I would rather have the game when it was fully finished instead of being rushed. Tabata's not entirely at fault here as the square management was with mishandling this project. But I still dont like alot of changes and re-writes that Tabata / the dissidia writer made, even barring the development hell. Think some things could have been handled better.

The start of the topic on gamefaqs was good, until the destroying the whole 10 year development being it's focus.
Reason why is, the main issue here should be the troubled development era of FNC & SE (i.e the start of PS3/360 gen). The topic did a good job of explaining that but they should get more into that or I should say Square Enix be the one to do so. When they presented their plans at e3 2006 they appeared confident, however something went horribly wrong (which some points hint that it begin before e3 2006) as the topic creator went over and we see how things took so many bad turns. SE goal as developers and a business should be to analyze and ensure it doesn't happen again going forward..

it's an analogy; the more you invest your mind the more attached you will become, not everything is worth to be attached for, specially games that will never come out that you only saw 5 minutes worth of footage

Backstory is not how you create audience sympathy. It just clarifies the current actions characters take or the state of the world. For Final Fantasy XV we hardly dabble in the past since it's all about what is happening now. When someone like Behemoth comes along we gain information about the story prior to the current world's state. It's not told in an entertaining manner, but backstory nonetheless.
Brotherhood was the backstory for our party. It showed what was required for them to exhibit behaviorally in the title game. The history of Eos is the problem.
