Btw, we already know that Pro mode will be avaible at November 29th?
Anyway ill stick with my OG PS4 for the first playthrough, and replay it some months after in Pro.

Ahh guys, have you seen the thing that some PS4 Pro compatibility patches may cost money?

Source: http://neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1276189

If this is true, it makes a case against getting it for me personally. I mean, this is ofc SE starts charging for the patches or someshit.

EDIT: Looks like the thread updated, its not that big of a worry. Phew! Okay looks like I just have to find a willing buyer for my PS4.
It reads like SIE is leaving it fairly open-ended on patches, depending on how much time and effort it takes to update assets, framework, etc. It's like development outfits want to be compensated for their efforts. Those bastards.

"know" is a... relative term.

We're pretty sure there will be one, but no official announcement has been made. It seems obvious there will be one, and they were represented briefly at the event. I don't see any reason to NOT believe there will be one at launch, but we have not had official word on it.

Yeah. And considering we're a week apart from TGS, one could guess they're talking about PS4 Pro and stuff like that. I'd like if they showed a trailer running on a standard PS4 and then, the same video, but running on a Pro.

Just out of curiosity, more than anything, as no way I'm buying a Pro when I already have a PS4 and works alright.

Maybe if I had the blood of a PC gamer, I'd upgrade. But I've been fine with the visuals and performance of current PS4 games that I have played and can tolerate lesser stuff too.

When HDR is ready for prime time, which doesn't seem to be the case just yet, that will probably be the best time to invest in a 4KTV.

Same here. FFXV doesn't look too bad lately on PS4, and that's with a lot of compression and your PC's color profile, it's going to look quite decent when running straight from a PS4, no need to jump the PS4 Pro ship right away..

Even without 4K and HDR it's still worth it.
