The Final Fantasy series has ranked an impressive 9th in the 2015 Classic FM Hall of Fame. The Classic FM Hall of Fame is an annual compilation of the 300 most popular classical works as polled by listeners of Classic FM. Classic FM is one of the United Kingdom's three Independent National Radio stations.

Congratulations to Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu, all the other composers and Square Enix.

Final Fantasy XIII is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Distributed by Broadmedia Corporation, it runs on smartphones and tablets thanks to G-Cluster Global Cloud Technology, meaning you'll need to be connected to the Internet in order to play.

The app is free to download and try for the first 30 minutes, with a 2,000 Yen in-app purchase allowing users full access.

The game was previously only available on iOS & Android devices through Square Enix's Dive In streaming service. Recent comments from Square Enix president & CEO, Yosuke Matsuda suggest the streaming titles will likely make their way west.

I asked Square Enix Europe who did the PC ports for the FFXIII trilogy, this was their response.

Quote

the FINAL FANTASY XIII PC port was developed by SQUARE ENIX.

It's getting so many players he was asked to come back in 5 hours...
But he's only number 145, and even if we consider that there would be 6 players at a time to play the 3v3, if every group takes like 10 min it adds up really quickly.
I'm just saying that this doesn't really give us any info on if the general Japanese market is excited. I hope they are though.

Arcades = popular (at least in Tokyo and probably other major cities).
Final Fantasy = popular.

This version of Dissidia is the first FF AC game, as far as I know.
