Good for those who owns PS4. But it would seem a cash-grab if it's without any re-remastering. Fans are stilling recovering from FFVII troll. :shifty:



Kingdom Hearts 1.5 & 2.5 for PS4 or FFXII HD?

Everything was ports.

Still, this gives me bolstered hope that FFXII HD wouldn't be out of the question for PS4, so there's that.

Now the stage is set for Nojima's violent/sexual fanfic-like abomination of an after-epilogue story to unfold into a full-fledged game. Mwahahahaha.

A logical consequence to continue increasing the ps4 install base in Japan. And that's imo the main reason for this port. Alongside Type-0 hd, the Xv demo and the FF Vii port it's pretty obvious. KH 1.5 and 2.5 will follow and probably a KH DDD Hd too and at a later point FF XII HD.

Are you sure ff 12 will get a hd remaster was it popular enough in japan to warrent a hd port?

I think it's just a matter of time.
A digital release alongside KH DDD hd , each for 19,99$ would make sense imo but I also have no idea how much they'd have to sell to make those hd-remasters profitable.

I could have sworn that FFXII was the infamous FF when it released, now that title is held by FFXIII, which was FFXIV until ARR was released. It's strange to see so many people want a remaster for FFXII now.

I just want to elaborate that I would like a Final Fantasy XII HD remaster too. I always liked the game since I played it when it first released. I was just saying how odd it is now that it seems to be loved when I used to see it get tons of hate, I also see love for FFXIII increasing but it still the topic of many debates. I love FFXIII, I wonder if FFXIII will ever been seen is a positive light like XII now, maybe if FFXV don't deliver that will be the new infamous title among fans and critics. Who knows what will happen at this point though...

It's because people didn't appreciate it when it was released because it wasn't what everyone was used to. I've always found it to be one of the best Final Fantasy games for its many innovations.

I wasn't a fan of the combat in XII but I really liked the world Ivalice. I'd definitely pick it up again if square enix releases a hd remaster.

That's the main complaint for Final Fantasy XIII is that it's not like Final Fantasy. I love FFXII and XIII, but strange thing is Final Fantasy XIII was more traditional than Final Fantasy XII. And as for it being Linear so was FFX.

I don't know why there are so many negative opinions on newer FF. I personally love every Final Fantasy I've played.

If we're getting another remaster, I'd rather it be for Final Fantasy XII. Not a port of an existing remaster.

XIII may have been more traditional, but it was flawed in many ways, as I've stated previously, it was a step back.

The reason I am able to say each Final Fantasy I've played is loved by me is because while each game has flaws or negatives, I find and highlight the positives. Final Fantasy makes that so easy because each game has so many positive I end up enjoying despite it's flaws. Final Fantasy XIII while it has flaws, I found a tons of things I absolutely love about it! For example I believe the world is more vast and better to explore and leveling system is more enjoyable in XII than XIII. But I strongly believe the music and characters in XIII to be better than XII. The characters had more life and diversity and so was the music which was far more memorable.

I would love to have VII (PC), VIII (PC), X/X-2 HD Remaster, a XII HD Remaster and XIII trilogy on PS4. X on PS2 was my first FF game and is also my absolute favourite. Maybe if we're lucky, we'll get a port of your favourite in IX as well.

@Sora96 I can honestly live without 9 ever coming to anything else for a long time. The PS1 ISO works on PS1, PSP, Vita and PS3, so it's not like it's difficult to play. I wouldn't want them to touch the game, really. So unless it was straight emulation, I'd be very apprehensive to see them touch it.
