Would you mind Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy Ps4 remaster?
I think it's good to have all 3 Fabula Nova Crystallis games on the ps4

Sure I would love it to be honest. It's not a big task I'm sure, so I don't know why anyone who isn't self-centered wouldn't want it. All though I can see why some people would see it as unnecessary if there reason is because it's too soon.

I'm with Crystal Power. I know the XIII games have a lot of problems and flaws (specially Lightning Returns... I don't wanna talk about that), but I'd enjoy playing them on PS4.
Thank you Mistwalker. A bit unrelated, but when I play games (especially FF) I know it has negatives but I also look at the positives and I accept the games for what it is. That's why I am able to say I enjoyed every main installment of Final Fantasy I have played. I had some issues with FFXV for a quick moment but I got over it. :)

Because 4K, Anti-Aliasing and DOF are so needed. Lol.
4K can be downsampled to 1080p or 720p. With AA and DOF, converted 72op looked definitely better than original raw 720p.

You might've noticed jaggy hair, probably Lightning's hair. You can fix that in PC version.

None of that excites me. I was perfectly happy with all of Square Enix Japan's PS3 games.

Why "PC masterplatform"? It's because you can upscale games to 4K and inject Anti-Aliasing, DOF and some special effects. It's a shame home consoles can't do that.
BUT... you need the money to do something like that.
Believe me, I have a decent PC (AMD FX-8320 OctalCore 3.7mhz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, GPU AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB), but I highly prefer to play on consoles. Why? Because it's more comfortable! You take your game, insert the disk, wait 30 seconds to install (I have a PS4. Sorry Xbone friends) and play. On PC, you have to install, then optimize, expect your PC is powerfull enough for the game to play or then customize again, and so on. I like playing some genres on PC (mainly strategy games) and some other games that are made to play on PC (The Elders Scrolls are a good example), but if you make me choose, I'll always go for a console.

Good grief. A PC vs home console back & forth in this thread?

Yes, you would ultimately get the superior product on PC (whether it's straight out of the box - or rather, download file - is another thing, because often you have to fiddle with it yourself, or hope for a fast-working modder to put something out like in the case of FFXIII), but PC isn't for everyone. I'd love to be able to sample a game in its 4k glory, but ultimately I am not very technical in my disposition, nor am I that much of a hardcore enthusiast. Frankly, I have enough going on in my life as well as work commitments to sit down and truly wrap my head around PC jargons. To suggest that primarily console gamers shouldn't get a certain version of a game unless there is a genuine genre or production reason is just a dick-ish and exclusionary thing to say.

Now back to the topic at hand. Is there a need for a FFXIII trilogy definitive edition? No, not really. Would I mind there being one? As long as it only needs a small, rump team or an outsourced studio to handle it without having to exhaust any significant resources and manpower, whatever. I wouldn't buy it, but there's an audience out there that will, so if there's enough demand, give it to them I suppose. Just so long as I get a FFXII HD release first!

Oh come on. It was a mistake to bring that "master" word. I meant nothing more than that. I only wanted to say they should stop any development on FFXIII Trilogy and focus on future entries.

Fleur, you've saved me.

I don't want Square Enix to waste their precious time and budget for 'remastering' existing games. It's not that I don't want it. I love it. Instead, they should focus their attention on making sequels or maybe a new IP (e.g. Bravely series). What's done is done. Move on, Square Enix. And look forward to a brighter future.

Reason why I say "so I don't know why anyone who isn't self-centered wouldn't want it." because I'm sure if anyone was in the same position with one of there favorite games they'd be ready for an remaster or remake. If you do not want any game remaster, then that is fair.

But if Square wanted to remake/remaster a game I do not care for, I say go ahead. I'm sure people who love it will enjoy it. It's not harming me either way :)
