But we don't know that for certain either, nor do we really know exactly what he envisioned beyond relatively vague statements. Ultimately we're all discussing conjectures at the moment. I'd love to think that Nomura managed to push through pretty much everything he wanted intact, but the realities of development, the whole bumpy saga, and the likelihood of what the environment must be like in Square-Enix make me wonder.
And I'm betting his departure revolved around this too.

I feel a bit sad, even with the trailer (and the seemingly upcoming info this and next week). I like him despite aaaaaall his flaws, and this project was like his child (maybe not as much as KH, but well).
So, yeah, I'd like to think he left his position in order to avoid KH III having the same fate, but deep inside I think there has to be something besides that (problems with executives, inability to direct, tiresome...)

Best of luck to him and kh3. And I'll enjoy xv for what it is. To me it still like it'd be a fun game and he brought out what he envisioned with advent children style battles. I hope he doesn't leave Square. But since I don't have proof something's going on, I'm dropping the subject till there is some.

Yeah, I guess! It actually has diminished my enthusiasm (just a little bit), because I've grown up with Nomura being a big part of FF (even if VI and IX are my favourites), and the possibility of him having been deprived of his own project after all this time, having a bad relationship with his higher-ups or even leaving after a while is a bit sad.
You'd think that, hopefully, after all these years at the helm, his vision has been translated into the game, or at least a good chunk of it (of course, then there is the suits' meddling...). I trust Tabata, though. Next week should be interesting (although I don't think they'll get into many details about this).
A documentary about Versus/XV's development would be the best thing ever, but I don't think SE would allow that.

1) They need KH3 development to "actually start"
2) FFXV is nearly done ( they are giving a demo to the game for crying out loud). Most of the work is done, Tabata is just there to polish the game ( not really change anything probably).
3) FFXV is looking to be a 2015 game ( again the demo in March 2015) Demos are a real sign that the game is nearly complete.
Basically, FFXV is at a point where Nomura can go back to KH3 without worrying to much about FFXV!
