Will FF7 ever be re-made into HD?

I think the PSX games do need an update but they don't need to give them a massive make over or anything. Stick with pre-rendered backgrounds, update the character and enemy models, update the cut scenes and that's all they really need to do. Resident Evil Remake is how I've always envisioned a FFVII (and FFVI) remake. It's how they should do it. They don't need to create real-time environments with Avatar visuals or anything like that.

To be honest, just implementing the battle models into the field map for Final Fantasy VII would be a huge step forward for me, lol. XD

I'm not sure whether a Final Fantasy VI remake should use 2D sprites or 3D models though. I'm really not a fan of what they did in the mobile phone version of Final Fantasy VI, it looks so... bland.

I was pretty ticked off by that. What they did to FFVI is like taking the Mona Lisa and shitting all over it. I don't know how Square Enix can see that as acceptable. I guess getting away with bad quality is one of the advantages of making mobile games.

Safe to say that Square Enix doesn't think too highly of Final Fantasy VI and isn't going to give it the justice it deserves. It's too bad they couldn't do to FFVI what they did to FFI, FFII and FFIV on the PSP.

I honestly found it rather disappointing SE didn't give Final Fantasy VI, nor FFV the same treatment as those games that got released on PSP. Instead we get a cheap looking Final Fantasy VI mobile game...

But you know, there's noting that can be done. They make money from it, when I think no one should support that. There's people who support titles like "All the Bravest". *sigh*

Good point, but since KH ReMix is a collection and we're talking about one game being remade, Well to make it fair then we should add spin-offs in Final Fantasy VII's remake to make it an collection as well. Before Crisis:FFVII, Crisis Core:FFVII, and what the heck, why not throw in Advent Children:FFVII. That's mobile phones, PSP, PS1, and DVD/Blu-ray products all available for one system! Now that is way more necessary! Hehe!

Hahaha, that would be GREAT, actually! That way I could also play all those other spin-offs that I never played. I'm totally up for a FFVII Collection.

Yea, I'm actually glad about the Kingdom Hearts collections it is convenient to have the games in a bundle. Though I wish all three games in each collection were playable. Don't understand why the third has to be cutscenes only? Also, Before Crisis never was localized, so that would make a good opportunity to do so.
