Toriyama's new title could still be X-3 or a similar big project

Toriyama, the director of division 1 said his new title will be announced this year. Some people believed since division 1 is also working on Mevius that they would not be able to do a title on the scale of Final Fantasy X-3 but this is not true. Division 1's lead staff are not working on Mevius. Eg. Nojima is writing the scenario not Watanabe. Toshitaka Matsuda, the division's 2nd art director is serving as art director.

That leaves the division's leading staff to work on Toriyama's title, this includes.

Yuji Abe (Game Design Director)
Nobuyuki Matsuoka (Battle System Director)
Isamu Kamikokuryo (Art Director)
Daisuke Watanabe (Scenario Writer)

That can scratch out a remaster of FFXII easily.

Some worked on Final Fantasy XIII, some on Final Fantasy XII & some obviously on Final Fantasy X.....
Maybe, they could be rebooting an old IP of theirs or making a completely new one?

Do we know any particular details as to which platform their project will release on?
How about as to when SQEX will announce that project?
Toriyama's on the Final Fantasy Committee.

I do NOT want a X-3, we don't need another X game... let's move forward. I would LOVE to see a XII HD Remake though, that game deserves it.
This is has nothing to do with XII.

And you'll get one. But we're discussing division 1 here. Audio drama says otherwise.
Wazi mentioned XII as well you know...? Did you not notice?

Audio drama doesn't say anything about whether or not X deserves another game. Square Enix needs to move on and stop revisiting their past games and start focusing on making new ones. People already have a bad taste in their mouth releasing two sequels to XIII which definitely didn't need it, and them being as clusterfucked as they were didn't help that in any way.

Clearly you just don't like division 1.

What...? Says who...? I never said anything about division one... I said I don't want another X game... What are you talking about? I have no opinion on any division of Square Enix, I don't even know who is IN Division 1!

I think what he means is that the team in charge of FFX are also roughly the same team that did FFXIII. You didn't sound like you liked either titles, hence why he accused you of not liking them. Of course, I disagree with him throwing that out at you.

Can we please not start arguing? Opinions are subjective precisely because they don't have a right or wrong. I personally loved the XIII games. That series was what got me into Final Fantasy in the first place. You don't see me picking a fight over trivial misgivings, though I'm always open to mature discussions.

I like Final Fantasy X a lot actually, it's one of my favorite Final Fantasy games. All I said was, I don't think Square Enix should keep revisiting past titles like Final Fantasy X or Final Fantasy VII. They should be moving forward, I'd like to see Division 1 work on something new, either a new Final Fantasy game, or a new IP. Let's take things in a new direction and stop looking at the past.

I'm not even arguing here, I'm just making myself clear. I have no issues with any Divisions in Square Enix. I only said, I don't think they should make X-3, that's what this thread is about, no? I'm voicing my opinion, people are allowed to disagree with me. However, I don't like when someone puts words in my mouth.
