All single-player Final Fantasy games on Steam list Steam Cloud except for Final Fantasy VII which is odd considering Final Fantasy VII has been supporting cloud saves on PC since it's re-release in 2012. So I asked Square Enix Europe to clear it up.
Square Enix explained Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 use Steam's Cloud for storing save files while Final Fantasy VII uses Square Enix's very own cloud service.
This makes a lot of sense since VII was originally released as download from Square Enix's online stores unlike the others and as a result the save files would have to have been transferred from Square Enix's cloud to Steam's cloud. I'm no expert, but that sounds like a bit of work, if it's even possible.
