Speculate Square Enix's first division's big new game

Square Enix's Business Division 1 is working on another title alongside Mobius Final Fantasy and the ports they have outsourced.

This title is directed by Motomu Toriyama, the man who has directed more Final Fantasy games than anyone else ever. In a developer survey posted by 4Gamer.net on December 27, 2014 he said the following:

“My next title is in well underway in development. We’ll be able to announce it in 2015, so please look forward to it!”

Recently, Square Enix president & CEO, Yosuke Matsuda confirmed a new JRPG for home consoles will be revealed at or around E3 2015.

Even more recently, the director of Mobius Final Fantasy was revealed to be Naoki Hamaguchi, the main programmer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. He also was a programmer for both Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2. This means that the following key members of the Final Fantasy XIII team are most likely working on Toriyama's new title.

• Yuji Abe (Game Design Director)
• Nobuyuki Matsuoka (Battle System Director)
• Daisuke Watanabe (Scenario Writer)

In addition to Yoshinori Kitase (Producer) and most likely Tetsuya Nomura (Main Character Designer).

I can tell you what I don't want it to be... X-3 or anything to do with Dirge of Cerberus.
Otherwise, I honestly have no idea though... it's a tough question. I'd like to hear from others though what they think it could be.

Is it safe to assume you think it would be X-3?

I'm honestly not sure what to think it is any more. I would like X-3 but the truth is I've really enjoyed every game Toriyama has directed with the exception of Last Mission and that's only because I don't like that sort of game so really I'd be excited for whatever it is. Haha.

Hmmm, how about Parasite Eve? Toriyama did the scenario for The 3rd Birthday and Square Enix did make The 3rd Birthday a higher priority than Type-0. They might want to give it another chance.
