This is my prediction for a Final Fantasy release schedule on PlayStation 4.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (March)
Final Fantasy VII (PC version) (April)
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (May)
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward (Around E3)
Final Fantasy III (iOS/Android/PC version, auto-battle & music player added) (Maybe July/August?)
Final Fantasy IV (iOS/Android/PC version)
Final Fantasy VIII (PC version, music patched)
Final Fantasy V (iOS/Android/PC version)
Final Fantasy VI (iOS/Android/PC version)
Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster
Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy
Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II & Final Fantasy IX (I can't possibly guess what what they're going to do with these.)

Dam look at all those ports I remember a time when square enix was releasing masterpiece after masterpiece year after year now were delegated with ports this is how you can see how far the company has fallen and has become a shell of its former self.

Well... None of these are confirmed to come out on PS4 besides Type-0, VII and XV, the XIII saga may or may not come out.

You can't really say looking at this that somehow they've become a shell of their former self when only 5 of the 12 things listed are coming out, and only one of them being a port (VII) the rest is either HD remake (Type-0 and FFX/X-2) or new content entirely (FFXV and XIV 3.0 Heavensward).

We have no reason to believe that any of this stuff is coming to PS4. The only thing I want on PS4 is XII HD Remaster out of the other games listed here, and VIII actually.

Or maybe Sony will get their shit together and make PS4 backwards compatible with PSOne. Every model of PS3 could play PSOne games so why PS4 can't?
Damn, I think even my laptop could emulate PSOne.

I highly doubt that we'll see a XII HD, a XIII trilogy collection or even the older ports before XV is out. They release X and X-2 HD Ps4, Type-0 hd, the XV demo, VII pc port, XIV heavensward and the pc port of lightning returns next year and that's pretty much all Final Fantasy we'll get. Japan gets FF Explorers in two days maybe that is also coming to the west in 2015.

Well FF is not their only franchise, they realease other games and i dissagree they haven't become in such a thing, even their "Masferpieces" are questionable at times.
They may not realease ""masterpoeces"" year after year but they still produce good games in a relative not long time.

What I really want for Square Enix to do is proceed with the iteration, and not make ports. If what they're doing is to introduce the whole of the Final Fantasy main series for the new generation, it should be well worth the purchase, if, in the near future, we can embrace the new iteration of the series.
But what I'm really hoping is that Squeenix should get back to the glory days, wherein every year, there's at least 3 or more prominent JRPG games being released.

I also hope for SquareEnix getting back to the glory days but without needing to use fanservice for the "harcore"old school fabase. In recent years they are and still doing it pretty well.

What's your definition of "prominent"? Because the way it was in the PSOne era won't happen again.

The release date for FFXV might depend on the feedbacks on the demo. If there would be many negative issues, another year might be added for development.
