Aw this makes me happy and a little sad at the same time. Happy because we got more information about the characters, but it´s also sad that this will be only in form of interviews. (Still hoped for a wedding scene)

About the summary:
It´s a little strange to see them in their old outfits. I hope that they only used the picture for promotion. It would be a little sad if they still wear their old clothes. So if I read the summary right, everyone was really reborn in the new world. Which makes it a little strange that they all live at the same time period and that they still look the same. I mean Sazh and his son are still alone in that interview. I really hope that his wife is somewhere else and did not die again..I´m happy that they all regained their memories from the past and seems to be in contact which each other. Hopefully this interviews will give is more information about their current life and are not only about the past.

Oh and it´s nice to catch a glimpse of Chocolina, which may mean that we will see Mog and the others too maybe in another form.

That's a good point... Does this mean every single person that has ever lived and died has now been reborn into this on new world? That could be billions and billions' worth of people. How does it work? Do Lightning's parents come back, too? Do her grandparents? Do her great grandparents?! It could go on and on since life began. Do they appear in the age they were at when they died? If Lightning's mother/father died when they were Lightning's age or younger, for example, would they come back in this world appearing at that age again, where Lightning - their daughter - could be older than one of them? If not with Lightning, that could happen in another family. Thinking about Sazh's wife made me think of this. If Sazh lived for many more years after her death, he could possibly have aged a lot more. When/if his wife comes back in the new world, he could be so much older than her now, because he kept living for many more years after her death. Would she reappear in her age when she died, whilst he stays in his current age? And again, if that isn't the case with Sazh, it could easily be a case with a different group of people.

Or is there something else to it? I forget the complete ins and outs of the dead souls now, and if they are all people who have ever lived, or just a specific set of people. I mean, Hope's mother is reborn, so could Lightning's mother, too?

I just don't know if this whole thing is explained or written properly. I wonder if even the developers know what's going on...

I´m not sure if the developers really thought about that deeply. I do believe that all of those people that lived in the other world were reborn again (We also don´t know if this was the only planet with life since the whole universe was destroyed and recreated again) Since it looked like the new planet was already inhabited (there were lights) when Lightning and Co. reached it I still wonder if some of those billions of souls reached it earlier than them. (I mean we don´t know how much time past till they arrived) I think that they mean with "reborn" that they were truly reborn. Like being born as babies and growing up again and maybe remembering their past later in life. Which means that somehow at least all of the main characters parents had to be born around the same time and had to be together or Lightning and Co. would look different. And this is whats so strange for me. (How big is the chance that somewhere Lightning and Serah´s parents met again and fell in love and that their mother gave birth to those two..it´s just mind boggling for me) Even thought they were reborn they look exactly like in Lightning returns. (At least they do that in the images) And let´s not talk about their characters. If they were reborn they got to live a complete different life. And even if they got their memories back at some point I can´t believe that they would be still the same characters. I always believed that all the other souls will be reborn sometime but that our group would just be there on the new planet being the exception of it, so that they still be the same and that they did not have to wait many years till they meet again (Since they had to grow up again now)

Maybe we are thinking to much into it but I can´t stop myself of finding this a little strange

Hmm, I understand your view about reborn meaning to start life from babies again, but I personally don't think that's what happened. I think that'd make it even more strange that things just so happen to pan out perfectly - like Sazh meets his wife to have Dahj, Hope's parents meet to have him, etc. But I really don't have any idea. I hope the devs can clear some things up...or maybe the rest of these novellas will. But I'm kinda thinking they just didn't think it through perfectly.

My friend who can read japanese told me that those who died before the last 13 days cannot remember their past, no memory from the old world.
For those who died within last 13 days, they still have some memories from their old world.
And for those who lived until the end of the world (Lightning and Co.), they can remember memory from their old world clearly.

Aoede (Female journalist) said someone who can remember their past clearly (such as Serah) is the special person who fought until the end of the world.

But Serah disagreed, Serah believed someone who still have some memories from the past (such as Aoede) but still live happily and peacefully in the new world is truely special person.

Serah said since she has all memories from their old world, she can remember her past clearly. It's hard for her to begin new life, to trust in new friend more than old friend. (That's mean she she still love Snow.)

By the way, Miss Angelina already translated chapter 8. (Hope episode - The Rose-Haired Phantom) You can read from this link

Thanks BoN :D but these chapters are really short  if they are all that short then this will be quite small Novellas
@Azuardo : I would like to read what the developers saw as "reborn" but I´m sure that no solution would really satisfy me :( (I love the story but the ending was a little ugh.)

So it seems that the characters are living quite far away :( I mean Noel and Yuel are in a subtropical country. A little sad that they are living not near each other. But at the same time happy that Noel and Yuel can be together. So even in Part 3 the reporter still did not found Lightning. Does she play hide and seek? I hope that we will get a little glimpse of her. I´m also not sure if the others truly know where Lightning is. Hope looks disappointed that she did not found her so does this mean that nobody knows where she is?

No there was not really a false Lightning.
The one Hope mention was a illusion created by Bhunivelze to make him his pawn.
I had hoped for more information about their life now but sadly it´s mostly about what happened in the game. Maybe they should have balanced it a bit more, like some information about the past but also some of their new life. I mean we don´t even know what most of them do for a living.
It looks like the reporter met Light in the end on a train. Could this be the same train we saw in the epilouge?

Yep, the entire thing takes place right before she gets off it.

OP is updated.

yeah i think too
anyway i was hoping these novels will tell us bhunivelze wake up or something and or lightning die lol..or create another crystallis world, a better one like cocoon was not like that ugly one in LR end. OH man i wish the whole ending would be the ff13 ending with lightning crystallised lol..
