Eh, Verendus's track has been erratic at best, but he hasn't been banned from NeoGAF yet, so...

That said, remember he also said there was a FFVII remake in development, or that they were planing to do it (something along those lines).

I've said this already a while ago why wasn't there a new thread about my posting?
No seriously I don't give anything on what a so called insider has to say especially not from someone with this track record. I follow many gaf threads and I've seen so many predicitions from various 'insiders' from time to time and it's always the same shit. It can happen and it can't happen, down the line a XII HD remaster will probably released sooner or later so it's a pretty safe bet.

And finally here are some of my 'insider predicitions':
- Final Fantasy XV will be released in the first half of 2016
- The Last Guardian will be re-revealed as a Ps4 game in 2015
- The Division won't be released in 2015
- Titanfall 2 will be revealed in 2015.
- A new DMC will be announced in 2015

oh but be aware that plans and release schedules can change over time

uh no dont listen to that dude on NeoGAF... he makes stuff up like Roger Wells does for Marvel. hes the same dude who said FF15 would release this year with 100% certainty. however, the possibility of FF12 being remastered isn't far fetched since FFX already did it. the chance is high, so saying it isn't a surprise..... especially when SE just said they are porting more games to PS4

I don't trust NeoGAF (sorry kagari), while there are plenty of honest people on that website, there also are a lot of people who have no place talking about insider industry things when they are making up half the nonsense they spew out and speculating over it.

It creates a separation in the community of regular people and the "icons" who report on things like this.

Kitase saying he wants XII HD is enough. I'm sure he convinced Ito to do it.

It'll happen. Not next year, but XII (IZJS) HD will be a thing SE will publish. Though I am waiting for how they'll publish it... unlike X and X-2, they can't bundle this which may or may not put them at odds with Sony's HD Remaster policy. (If that is still intact)

I don't think that's intact for PS4. Look at Type-0 HD. And they can throw in XII's sequel as Cinematic Story Videos.

It's not worth for Square to do that. The XII sequels are not praised nor mentioned often for their story. I'm fine with just FFXII. I don't even mind seeing some 'improvements' if there is something to improve upon in the game or even changed stats.

Sequels? There's only one. XII's sequel did quite well.
