I've seen this question going around a lot lately, and I have to say, I generally wonder if that will appen. Final Fantasy VII:re is such a highly anticipated game now, and with all of the criticism that's been facing Final Fantasy XV, I can see Final Fantasy VII:re selling more than Final Fantasy XV. However, Final Fantasy VII:re isn't due out for some time now, and Final Fantasy XV's assumed release date is spring of 2016. Do you think most people will wait for the Final Fantasy VII remake, that will most likely drop in late 2017, or do you think people will still Final Fantasy XV a try, despite the things they might not like in it (replacement of Nomura as director, Stella being cut, active time battle system, lack of female party members blah blah etc etc) I'm really curious to hear your opinions!

With the development history of FFXV, the game must have costed SE some $$$ if they want to get profits (or at least recover the what they spend) with XV i think they will relese each game with a gap of nearly 2 years.

Also the remake was said that they´ve just only began, i don´t see the game release until 2018 i base this using KHIII, the game was announced in june 2013 now in 2015 the is still in development and with an unknown release window (many theorising it will be in 2016 which means 3 years will have passed by that time)

Actually if anything, FF7 Remake could increase FF15 sales. Or Vice Versa.

Everyone is busy dividing what FF they love/hate. It seems they forget FF is a brand and franchise as a whole. Do anyone see how silly it is to think that one game of the same franchise might hinder another game sales of that very same franchise? ^^;;
