Bahamut should be a hidden summon you have to fight in order for him to come and fight with you (again, could be added via update if they are adamant on making these summons more involved in the story, according to what Tabata said in the ATR).
Imagine if they created a scenario where
you are Noctis whilst inside the crystal and you have trials in there that you have to beat in order to earn Bahamut as a summon.

He doesn't seem to the type to just give up his powers that easily after all.

Not only that, but while in there, that's when Bahamut teaches Noctis about the past, including who Ardyn really is and the events that led up to the game.

This way, we can learn more about the past alongside Noctis.

I mean in ch14, I'm under the impression that he came out of that a very changed man because he learned something in there.

His attitude towards Ardyn points to that.

Fuck i hate almost everyone in gamefaqs at this point..
Toxic places attract toxicness and spread more toxicness. I call it, the toxic effect. And the trend of "it's the new FF so let me find something to hate about it" will be an on-going thing until the day that the series ends.

Its like the various users there aren't even trying to hide the fact that their hate boner for the game vastly overrides common sense. I've even just witnessed two users who claimed to have like the game wishing BD2 would "move on already".

Just.....why. Genuinely wanting to improve a game that has loads of fans via post-game support shouldn't be shunned like this. Its beyond petty.

I only lurk at that place now. No more posting. There's no point. People there don't listen and it's not a good place to have conversations regarding the game because some posters there are so extreme.

Anyway, in regards as to why some fans want BD2 to "move on already", I guess it's because they were expecting story updates this year but didn't get any.

From what I'm reading online, people are pissed off that Episode Ignis was going to be the last update for the game because they think Tabata lied about the whole story update and roadmap gig.

Lot's of "what was the point of the survey if they were going to end things this year?" kinda comments - especially on Youtube.

Edit:

The way I see it, if they're blinded by their hate to the point where they're writing something off before the game is even done - it's their loss.

If the team seriously do work very hard with the story updates, I have no doubt that the fanbase will grow.

An interested bit of gameplay regarding ch13 by @Koozek

I had no idea about this.

http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=249746655

"There's a prompt at some point asking if you want to play as Gladio now (if you decline, you can still switch at save rooms) and if you do and finish his section, when you switch back to Noct it basically skips over the most-hated part of his route and puts you at a later point in the chapter."

Written by Koozek

When I replay the game, this is what I'm gonna do.

Found this over at GameFarts:

https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/932981-final-fantasy-xv/75804472/887186225

Not sure if the translation is accurate but yes, paid DLC and free content it seems.

The 2nd round of paid DLC's doesn't seem to be going down too well over there.

Honestly, I don't mind another Season Pass and paid DLC in addition to free updates, I'm just happy we're getting more story content, it's better than nothing for me. The things I want expanded on are Ravus, Ifrit, Ardyn, Gentiana, Solheim, and the World Of Ruin. The World Of Ruin is in Comrades, which I hope I can play it's Single Player mode without PS+, and I would like to explore Eos in the state it is in due to the Starscourge, and Ifrit is getting a new cutscene, and I'm really happy with that, as Ifrit is one of my favorite characters in the game, and I wanted to see his downfall, and see how he fell, and get a deeper understanding of Ifrit and his story, even if the scene is small, and , Ravus being in Episode Ignis excites me, as I wanted to see more of Ravus and learn more about him, and see how he changed, and he had been one of my favorite characters since Kingsglaive, and one of the most important things, Ardyn had won the survey, and is potentially getting his story told in a game or another media, and I'm feeling joy from that, Ardyn is another one of my favorite characters, and I really want to see his story of how he fell and see how his vengeance came to be, and with the new scenes in regards to Gentiana, I'm happy she's getting more story content, and when I saw her cry, I wanted to find out why, and why she wasn't there for Lunafreya at all times, especially Altissia, and to see how she felt about what happened over the course of the story. I hope we learn more about Solheim down the line, even if it's just a glimpse of it, either a sighting or by name. Overall, I may be getting what I wanted, due to what is coming as of late, even if I don't get Solheim, as it's just an icing on the cake for me.. If most of the stuff is substantial , no matter the length and how it's done, and put into the game, I will consider FFXV's story to be complete in my eyes.

Everything is a "disaster" over there lol

Anyway, as @FFChocobo18 said, this is way better than nothing at all.

Heck, they could have just stopped development completely and 2017 could have been the write off point for the game but no, the team really want to fix the story and make it right. That alone signifies that they know what the fans want, they're aware that the game has issues, and that they're willing to make it right.

Also, if the translation for that famitsu article is accurate, then these DLC's will be longer than the DLC's we've been getting, since they've been translated as "large scale."

It really does sound like they're trying to add a shit tonne of stuff.

now i kinda want it to be incorporated like that lol

anyway, whoever expected all dlc to be free is nuts,
i'm surprised that 4 large-scale content is planned, was thinking 3 at most:

1. Ardyn
2. Luna
3. ?????
4. Insomnia

do it

I agree, they could've moved on, but they are still here, trying to fix things, and managed to get an extension to the game, it must've been difficult to accomplish, and yet, here we are now, it's like a fan's dream. I've edited the post I made above @Nova's about what I wanted to get expanded upon.

I was content with just the base game, CGI film, and Brotherhood. I had the option to get extra through free updates, and the Chocobros episodes. I can't ask for anything else, so if there is a 2nd season pass, it's all gravy from there on out.

Back from the Gamefarts topic Jubileus linked.

How the fuck does one conclude that because Tabata mentioned considering a second season pass with DLCs (which is gonna happen obv) means the free story update shown at TGS is a one & done deal, with 2018 being just paid content story-wise??? Just because they didn't mention in a season pass in the ATR (since plans aren't finalized yet duh) doesn't mean the team "intentionally hid it to not anger the audience".

They already mentioned that the free story content on Summons is the first step, all the interview heavily implies is a mix of future free and story updates is in the cards. Shit the leaps of logic some people are willing to spew, my fucking head.

At times, I prefer to stay out of threads like that. I'm looking forward to this potential second season pass along with the free story updates to expand on most of the things I want, and I'm looking forward to playing Comrades on it's Single Player mode, as it's set in the World Of Ruin, one of the things I've wanted expanded on the most along with a fun combat system, and even if most of the things don't come through in the scenes they're getting, I'd still get what I want, and consider the story to be complete when some or all of the things I've wanted are expanded on. I wish those people could open their eyes for once that this is a dream come true for people like us who wanted more for FFXV's story, not use it to bash it on others.

most interesting points>

Q. And Comrades is set between the period Noctis goes missing....... IS CIDNEY-CHAN APPEARING IN IT!?
A. That's what you're asking? (laughs) Not necessarily in Comrades, but there are important characters that we are considering to cover next year in how they changed over the 10 year period.

(so either in a future update in comrades, or they plan to add more story in the World of Ruin portion of the main game).

Q. In regards to the updates contents to further enhance the story in 2018;
A. We are not saying that we are going to simply pull out additional fixed DLC, we are planning to do things that are deeply involved in the core story of the game. We want to do something... where it gives the player a meaningful reason to play it again, or something like that. In regards to the amount of content, looking at the current development, we are looking at around the amount of 4 DLC packs worth of content at maximum. As a AAA title, I think this is the limit. With this, we are going over on what we should deliver.

(also, a second VR game will only happen if Monster of the Deep does well).
edit:

thinking about it, if the first story content is related to summons, it's reasonable to think that all the astrals will appear, not only Ifrit or Shiva.

my bet is that gentiana is telling the story of the Astrals to young Luna, and then the events like Ifrit reviving and Shiva getting rekt by the empire will be shown as flashbacks.

That sounds awesome, having a scene that covers characters that have changed by Noctis' return in chapter 14 in the World Of Ruin sounds like a great way to end off the World Of Ruin as a nice bonus for me, especially since Comrades is set in the first year of the World Of Ruin, which I'm excited about and looking forward to playing around with the World Of Ruin in there. With Comrades, I would consider the World Of Ruin expanded and fleshed out as I wanted it to be, but I would like a scene like that, that would make a nice bonus, and make things meaningful.
