Q.
In regards to the main story, how many changes were there?
A.Tabata.
FFVersusXIII was one of and along with FFXIII were both made based on the story of the Goddess in the ''Fabula Nova Crystalis'' series. However, as the title changed to FFXV and as the next gen hardware came into development, with this as a new numbering title in the series development went through an overhaul. Because of this there was a need to carefully consider and reexamine the content of the game as a whole to fix it. As a result from that, after going over and re-establishing the scenario, the heroines position in the story had changed and as a result a new heroine Luna was introduced.
However, the main plot of FFVersusXIII was succeeded and taken over into FFXV. Speaking furthermore, common mythos of the FNC series [the chosen ones of the crystal puts their life at stake to accomplish their mission], this setting also has been carried over and imported into FFXV as one of the essentials. In that manner, in the root of FFXV, many components and elements from the days of FFVersusXIII remains.

Considering the Versus outcries, I think this is a good wakeup call. For everyone.

But he removed some of key elements.
For example:

1.Noctis gets red eyes when teleport.

2. There was Stella, Gentiana and Etro.

3. There where more crystals then one.

1. That's not exactly a key element in the same sense as everything else.
2. Stella was unfortunate. Gentiana is in the game? Etro, in the grand scheme of things, only served as a backdrop, no more no less.
3. There is still more than one crystal, just the Lucis crystal being the last surviving one.

Lol whatever you say these are key elements and would change a lot of Story. For example:

He would see the dead of expiring souls. Ardyn was trying to revive Etro. Gentiana was an Oracle and an messenger. How are this for you not key elements?

Which Ultimania is this from?
But he removed some of key elements.

2. There was Stella, Gentiana and Etro.

3. There where more crystals then one.
1: At least he still gets red eyes when he summons.

2: Yes, Stella was lost. But Gentiana survived in a way, and who knows about Etro... There's still that strange statue in the Pitioss ruins.

3: That was a bit of a blow. But it sort of worked. There's now more of a sense that Lucis was chosen, and more reason for other nations to be envious.

This is just bullshit nonsense. You don't even understand what are you talking about at this point.

@Slaintimez Well I tried to stay calm and tried to stay on topic without offending someone. So just ignore me or I don`t know drink a camomile tea

In Any case Versus was more based on dreams and Hallucinations, well and a lot of sleep and flashbacks of his father.

Final Fantasy Peasant has also a few interesting points. dropping this here

You sound like this other guy in the FFXV forums. Saying assumptions like they are facts.

Also, sorry to drop the bomb. FFP is as baseless as you are.

i don't know if this is true for Versus XIII, but in FFXV there's two dream sequences (the omen trailer dream, and chapter 9 sequence) and a lot of hallucinations created by Ardyn (like in the train, gralea, throne room); Carbuncle also aids Noctis trought dreams (platinum demo / tutorial).

possibly they would be more fleshed-out if the game had more cutscenes and a better story presentation.

(Omnis Lacrima lyrics had mentions of dreams so it's possible it was a plot element since Versus XIII)

More Ultimania scans are out, and they seem to confirm that Nomura didn't disclose important plot information to Tabata, and I'm Screaming.
there's nothing indicating that.

he said he didnt know about why Ifrit was involved in the scourge, ppl assuming this means Nomura didnt disclose important information to tabata are doing a fucking jump since this plot point might not even existed in Versus.

Something else I saw in translations.... Ardyn is said to have a "dirty" personality, creating depraved decorations and visions such as the bodies of his enemies and Noctis' loved ones as playthings like puppets to wile away the time. His savoring of Noctis' torment and his own satisfaction at revenge is a part of this "dirty" side. It also hints that Ardyn holds far more power than we see, and that he deliberately held back during his battle with Noctis.

I think we'll be getting a lot more lore-based behind-the-scenes stuff if/when the Ultimania Omega arrives.

How much of that is new information, really? I thought the game was quite effective at conveying that

Ardyn was a sick, sadistic monster of a man whose primary motivation was torturing Noct. Like, stabbing Luna was completely unnecessary except insofar as it made both Luna and Noct suffer -- he knew she'd sealed her fate by making the Covenant with Leviathan, and her injuries didn't really stop her from doing anything she intended to do. Tricking Noct into pushing Prompto off the train, likewise, gained Ardyn nothing except the chance to torture someone Noct cared about while making Noct himself feel terrible. Chapter 13 was nothing but Ardyn tormenting Noct, with one of the most telling instances being that electric hallway trap that he sent Noct's friends to free him from. As the Ultimania discusses, there's the corpses he used to decorate the throne room (and apparently pass time while waiting for Noct... uh... o_0; ). And then there's the skeevy voice direction and facial animation when he's got Noct pinned down before the second half of his boss fight.

As for deliberately holding back... I kind of want to see more direct translations on that part, but he certainly seemed willing to accept death in the game itself given what that entailed for Noct and the line of Lucis.
